Unlocking Pro/TK Applications - Blog Referral

In one of previous posts titled "License needed to run my Pro/Toolkit add-ins" I received a comment requesting help using protk_unclock.exe to unlock the Pro/TK application provided in the same post. (For sake of convenience the following is the zip of the source for Pro/TK application)

As an answer to the question posed in that comment, I refer you to a post by my colleague, Amar Junankar, on his blog at http://cadinterface.blogspot.com/2009/05/unlocking-protoolkit-application.html. Amar has posted solutions for both developers and non-developers.

Welcome to the blogging world Amar.

  1. Ganeshram,
Please excuse this comment unrelated to the post. I've been looking for a good free 3d modeling program for designing. I have used commercial programs in the past (ProE and SolidWorks) at work. I'm no longer doing designing for a living but would like to keep doing some as a hobby. Is there a program you would recommend? Thank you in advance,
    JOE

  2. Hi JOE,
Thanks for the comment. For a good free 3D modeling program I would suggest Alibre. They offer a free version after the trial expires. Go here https://www.alibre.com/Register/RequestInfo.aspx to download.

If you are interested in an OpenSource software then check my blog post http://ossandcad.blogspot.com/2006/10/open-source-software-in-mechanical.html.

There is also NaroCAD which seems to have some following..
